Full Moon Rituals + the Cold Full Moon in Gemini this 12.07.22

We are at our last Full Moon of the year, and it’s happening in Gemini.
A full moon happens when the sun and moon are juxtaposed to each other in the sky, and the Earth is between the sun and the moon, that allows us to see the illumination on the face of the moon.
Full moons are not the time to set intentions, as it’s more of a time to reflect on what you set during the New Moon and the culmination of what has transpired since then and release. They represent emotional endings, growth, and change. I also find that when we especially reach the last full moon of the year it calls on you to go inward, reflect, and use the time to be clear on what you have learned. The seasons represent cycles as well, and in the winter when the days are shorter and get darker sooner, it signals rest, quiet, and even when everything seems to be frozen and still, a deep underground buzz is happening setting the stage for when they will come up again into the light. It is a time for preparing.
What to do during a Full Moon?
Clean your space, physically and energetically. This is a perfect time to take inventory of what you keep around you. Sage your home, and open up a window or door to move the stagnant energy out. Dance, play some music, move around!
Set the tone, light a candle, and take a moment to meditate, or do some breath work.
Look back at what Intentions you set during the New Moon. Journal, and reflect on what you have accomplished since then. Are you still in alignment with those Intentions? If anything has changed, feel free to release it and modify.
If there is something you are specifically wanting to release, write it down, and burn it in a safe vessel.
Charge your crystals under the full moon.
Relax, and restore. Take a shower, make some hot tea, and put on something cozy. Ritual Florum No. 01 takes a full moon cycle to produce, and our product is often incorporated into full moon rituals.

Avoid making any rash decisions, and if something comes up for you that is triggering, take a beat before responding or taking action.
What does this Full Moon in Gemini mean?
This Full Moon is coming in pretty hot despite it being called the Cold Moon. Gemini is mutable air ruled by Mercury and known as the twins. It is energetic, sociable, and witty, and themes during this time are communication, creative projects/media, and social life. The Sun is in Sagittarius and that energy is expansive, being ruled by Jupiter, and we can see our visions more clearly (part of the reason the New Moon that just happened in Sagittarius felt so good for setting intentions).
However, we’ve got Mars the planet of action and intense energy in retrograde next to the moon, so it’s going to be asking you to look at where your energy is being directed, in that very Mars intense way. (And as I’ve mentioned, retrogrades are nothing to fear, it’s pulling your attention to an area meant for your good, even if it doesn’t always feel like it.) But because Mars goes retrograde only every 2 years, it can feel that there is more internal frustration that something is off. Feeling angry, emotional outbursts, prone to gossip, and maybe feeling pulled in a lot of different directions.
And because full moons are about release, and with Gemini an air sign, ruling intellect, communication- you may notice you have a lot coming through, or noticing patterns lately, specifically ones you may need to let go of. You may notice you have pent-up anger or frustration towards someone. But instead of running hot, slow down the internal chatter and write it out. Call up a trusted friend or mentor to sort it out with. Move your body, physically sweat some of that energy out.
Because shortly after, the moon is going to move into a square with Neptune, and Jupiter that is positioned in Pisces. This will be much more dreamy and chilled-out.
